GLUCOSE (GLUCOSUM)
INDICATION TO ADMINISTRATION: Enrichment of volume of circulating blood (at anhydration as consequence of emesis, diarrhea, while after-surgery period, while shock, collapse); blocking of lungs, hypogliycemic conditions, characteristic for diabetes-ill persons during sugar-reducing therapy, as a dissolving agent or infusion environment for injection of other medicaments. Preparation is also used for refilling insufficiency of carbohydrates in organism while physical and mental strain. ROUT: Isotonic solution is injected subdermaly, intravenously dropwise and in clysters. Adults and children after 15 receive subdermaly and intravenous dropwise injection of 300-500 ml and more per 24 hours in nutrient environment in clysters from 300-500 ml to 1000-2000 ml per 24 hours, preferably dropwise. Maximum doze of liquid for routine clinical usage must not exeed 2 l/24 hours, incase of shock condition - maximum 2 l/hour. Maximum doze of Glucose in 24 hours constitutes 0,75 gr/kg of body weight per hour. SIDE EFFECT: Not found. CONTRAINDICATION: Diabetes and different states accompanied by hyperglycemia. CORRELATION WITH OTHER PHARMARMACEUTICALS: Preparation contains chloride-carbohydrate acid. Preparation may be used as dissolvent for preparations which are destabilized in acidulous р═. OVERDOSAGE: Development of hyperglycemia is possible. In this case patients feel dryness of skin, and of mucous coats, decrease of tension of eye-bulb, frequent shallow breast without acetone smell, tachycardia, arrhythmia, faintness, increasing of temperature. In case of overdosage symptomatic treatment and injection of preparations of usual insulin in doze of 0,1 Unit/kg intramuscularly or subdermally should be prescribed. SPECIFICS OF ADMINISTRATION. During intravenous use of preparation control of level of sugar in blood is necessary. STORAGE CONDITIONS: keep far from the reach of children at temperature not higher than +25╤. Freezing of preparation preserving hermeticity of a bottle is not a contraindication to administration of the preparation. Impermeability of internal surface of a bottle is not a contraindication to administration of the preparation. |
